I was raised in Orange, TX and graduated from LCM. I attended Lamar Univeristy where I graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Communication. I was a member of the Professional Communication Association. I then completed Lamar State College- Orange Alternative Certification for Educators. I am currently working on my Masters in Educational Administration.
I am certified to teach English Language Arts/Reading 4th-8th grade. I am also certified Kinder-6th grade generalist to teach any subjects through 6th grade. I also have my ESL certification.
I have been Neuhaus trained to work our dyslexia students. I am ESL certified.
I began my teaching career at Mauriceville Middle School teaching 6th grade. Since then, I have taught 4th & 5th grade but always wanted to come back to Mauriceville Middle School. Then, I came back to MMS doing what I love, my passion, reading and language arts.I am also the cheer coach and Panthers in Prayer Sponsor which I also love! I am currently the Administrative Intern/Assistant Principal which I am loving!
I am married to my best friend, Adam, who works at Lanxess. We have 2 daughters, who I will talk about often, Hallie and Anslee. Hallie is in 6th grade here at MMS. Anslee is 2 years old. We enjoy spending time together and are very involved in our church, Orange First Church of the Nazarene.
I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, shopping, vacations, singing in my church choir and praise team, and working with the MMS cheerleaders. I am a member at Orange First Church of the Nazarene. I am also the Panthers in Prayer sponsor here at MMS.
