Who are We?

Welcome to the MMS Book Club!

At Mauriceville Middle School Book Club, we believe reading should be fun, social, and full of adventure. Our club is a place where students who love stories (or are just starting to discover them) can come together to talk about books, share ideas, and enjoy the magic of reading. We spend time every Monday morning and throughout the year, reading exciting books together and discussing the characters, plot twists, and moments that make us laugh, gasp, or think more deeply. Whether it’s a fantasy quest, a science fiction spinner, a mystery, or a graphic novel, there’s always something new to explore.

But Book Club is more than just reading! Members also enjoy fun activities like themed meetings, book-related games, creative projects, and donuts at every other meeting. We also go on fun book and art themed field trips, because we love collaborating and bringing all of our love of theater, reading and the arts together to make memorable moments. 

Our goals are simple:

  • Encourage a love of reading

  • Build a community of readers who support and encourage each other

  • Help students grow their confidence in sharing ideas and opinions

  • Most importantly…have fun with books!

Whether you’re already a big reader or just looking for a new place to belong, MMS Book Club is a great place to discover new stories, make friends, and celebrate the joy of reading.
