PANTHERS MOVE TO 2-0
September 12 (MMS) – The Panthers moved to 2-0 on the season with a hard fought 14-8 win over the visiting Deweyville Pirates. Sam Winn and Corbin Broussard each had touchdowns and Cooper Smith had a dominating performance on defense with several tackles in the Pirate backfield. The Panthers will hit the road next Thursday (9/21) when they travel to Evadale to take on the Rebels.
PANTHERS GETS WIN IN OPENER
September 7 (Bridge City) – The Panthers kicked of the season last night with a big 20-0 win over the Bridge City Cardinals. Sam Winn led the way with over 150 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. Corbin Broussard also had a good game with some tough carries. Isaac Moore (above) started the game off with an interception and returned it to the endzone for a Panther touchdown and Tristen Capps would get a second interception later in the first half. The defense played solid all game and came up with four big turnovers and kept the Cardinals off the scoreboard. Cooper Smith, Jordan Flagg, and Donovan Chenyworth all had standout games. The Panthers will host the Deweyville Pirates next Tuesday at 5pm in Mauriceville.
